Travel shoot outfits: decide what to pack before you go
The classic travel-shoot problem: you arrive and realise the clothes clash with the scenery, and of the five outfits you packed only one works. Try them in Wear.AI before you leave: use a portrait with a backdrop similar to your destination and swap each outfit in to check colours and mood.
Old towns suit hanfu and mamian skirts, beaches suit flowing skirts and light colours, and city streets suit commute styles. Below are a few actual examples.

Tips for travel outfit try-ons
- Choose a portrait whose background resembles the destination (beach, street, garden) so colour judgments hold up.
- Try the same outfit on two portraits with different backgrounds and keep the one that works on both.
- For hanfu or wedding looks on a travel shoot, see the dedicated pages.
- Turn favourites into style posters as a mood board for the trip.
Where the outfit image can come from
- Sample looks from travel-shoot studios
- Bloggers' outfit photos at the same destination
- Clothes you plan to pack, photographed flat
Three steps
- Upload the garment you want to try
- Pick your own portrait
- Generate, swipe to compare, save the one you like
Results help you plan outfits and can differ from the actual shoot.
FAQ
Does my portrait have to be taken at the destination?
No. A photo with a similar style of background is enough; the point is checking colours against the setting.
How many outfits can I try?
Each generation tries one outfit. A standard try-on costs 10 credits, with the exact cost shown on screen.
Where are my photos stored?
Try-on records stay in your account until you delete them in the app or delete your account. You can save results to your photo library.
